Through Ethics:
Understanding and Working Through
Real-Life Dilemmas"
Most people think of
ethics in terms of what is right and wrong. Recently a major
accounting company had an advertising campaign touting their view of ethics as
black-and-white... unfortunately ethical dilemmas rarely are.
While the study of
ethics focuses on right/wrong and good/bad, the practice of ethics
is a world of "gray" that lives among changing contexts and
priorities. We face ethical
dilemmas again and again in our daily lives. This one-day
workshop explores the right-
vs-right conflicts that create those dilemmas, and how to
consciously weigh and decide
about them based on personal and organizational values.
Understanding ethical
dilemmas is a powerful tool in resolving conflict. "Conflict Resolution
Through Ethics: Understanding and Working Through
Real-Life Dilemmas" provides tools and
insight to allow participants to more effectively resolve
conflicts and work through daily
challenges, and to do so before conflicts create personal and
organizational problems.
